We, Hitit University, are deeply anxious and condemn the irresponsible explanation of the US administration's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and its relocation to Jerusalem for its embassy in Israel. This decision is a clear violation of international law and relevant United Nations (UN) resolutions. Because the annexation of Jerusalem by Israel has been rejected by the international community and the UN.
The history of Palestinian independence is a conscientious and human necessity. The negative decision on peace and stability in the region poses the risk of destroying the ground of peace altogether. We urge the US administration to keep this misdirected decision, which will have very negative consequences, and to avoid the uncritical steps that will prejudice Jerusalem's multicultural identity and historical status.
We want to remind the whole world that Turkey will carry out the sacred mission it has set up for itself and will continue to defend all the oppressed without distinction of religion, language and race, even if it is desired to be prevented by defamation, theatrical operations and slander campaigns beyond the ocean. We invite the members of the selfish, savage and aggressive civilization, who see themselves as the master of the world, the rest of the world as a slave, and who do not know the right to life, but we count and vigorously condemn this irresponsible explanation.
